My brother has just been diagnosed with a brain tumor. It seems the plan is to take it out soon. They are currently looking for a very good brain surgeon hopefully somewhere near the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Anyone have any recommendations?

Hi there
I just stumbled on your blog. I have had a brain tumour and years of treatment and all alive and well today.
What is interesting is today I was doing a bit of research into my brain tumour because it is an oligodendroglioma which means there is a genetic marker. I was wondering if your brother has gone for a test as you two might have the same gene problem.
I am not a doctor or anything but I know from my own family the similarities even though I am the only one with an actual brain tumour.

He is fine and doing quite well. The tumor was a JPA level 1…benign and completely removed. As for a genetic marker, he’s the brother-in-law and not blood related.
